CLARB Record fees
Initial CLARB Record
This one-time fee covers the initial compilation and verification of your education, employment and licensure history.
Annual maintenance
Your CLARB Record is renewed annually on your anniversary date. Maintaining an active CLARB Record is required while completing the L.A.R.E. and to keep your information up to date, track continuing education and maintain your CLARB Certification credential, if applicable.
Reactivation
If you don’t renew your CLARB Record, it is deactivated and unavailable for use. This fee covers reactivation plus any verifications and documentation updates since your Record lapsed.

Register to take a section
Exam sections can be taken in any sequence, and you may attempt up to 4 different sections during the 2-week exam administration window.
Change or cancel
You may be able to make changes or request a refund, though fees and time limits may apply. See our cancellation policy for details.
Prepare with CLARB
In addition to our free preparation resources, we offer $25 practice exams to help you get familiar with the exam format.
Exam approval
Only if required by your jurisdiction, CLARB transmits your Record to the licensure board for approval before you can register to take the L.A.R.E.
Expedited service is available for an additional fee.

Apply for licensure
CLARB submits your verified CLARB Record to a licensure board as part of your application. This service is only available to active CLARB Record Holders.
Processing times
Standard transmittals are typically processed in 5-7 business days but may take up to 14 business days during high-volume periods.
Expedited service is available for an additional fee. Expedited transmittals are typically processed within 1-2 business days.
