Prior to being appointed to the CLARB Board of Directors in 2025, Zara served as a member and chair of the Exam Committee‘s Grading, Drainage, and Stormwater Management Subcommittee.
Zara is a licensed landscape architect in two jurisdictions and has been practicing in the profession for the past 17 years. She advocates for equitable, equal and fair practices in the design field, especially where disparities may exist. She also mentors design professionals of various backgrounds and aspirations. She has practiced in both municipal and private roles.
