Leehu currently serves as a director-at-large on the Board of Directors, with his term beginning in 2024. His involvement with CLARB has been extensive, beginning as an invited grader for Section E of the L.A.R.E. in 2008. Leehu remained involved with CLARB in the years since, finishing a five-year term on the CLARB Exam Committee in 2023. He is honored to currently be serving on the CLARB Board of Directors.
In 2022, Leehu Loon joined Texas Tech University as professor and chair of the Department of Landscape Architecture. Throughout his career, he has been deeply engaged in service and leadership, demonstrating a strong commitment to organizational oversight, mission advancement and visionary planning. Before joining Texas Tech, Leehu served for 17 years at a previous institution in a variety of leadership roles, elevating the visibility of landscape architecture. A licensed landscape architect since 2008, first in Oklahoma and now in Texas, Leehu has been a steadfast advocate for the profession. His campus roles have included collaboration with diverse stakeholders, universitywide advocacy and public engagement to promote the value and importance of landscape architecture.
