Several state governors have issued executive orders requiring a review of licensing across professions, including landscape architecture. CLARB has worked closely with industry partners to support member boards, ensuring that the value and necessity of landscape architecture licensure are clearly represented.
During sunset reviews—routine assessments that determine whether a licensing board should continue operating—CLARB collaborated with ASLA and other industry leaders in states such as Alaska, Arizona, California, New Mexico and Washington. These efforts helped secure the continuation of licensure for landscape architects in these states.
