There are many programs that may continue to run in the background even after you think you have closed them.
- Hold CTRL+ALT+DEL to access the Task Manager.
- Use the Processes tab to select the application and use the End task button to close it.
- Choose the Details tab, then select the application and use the End task button to close the application.
It’s important to have administrator rights for your computer. Computers with multiple user logins may have programs running in the background associated with a different user profile that you may not be able to end without administrator privileges.
