Role

As Chief Strategy Officer, Veronica leads the development and refinement of the organization’s strategy system and oversees governance, membership, communications and advocacy. She works closely with the Board of Directors, chief executive officer (CEO) and staff to align long- and short-term priorities with CLARB’s mission and vision, ensuring responsiveness to member needs and emerging regulatory trends. Veronica also directs leadership development and strategic partnerships that enhance CLARB’s effectiveness. Her work supports CLARB’s mission to protect the public through the licensure and regulation of landscape architecture.

Veronica is a seasoned association executive with more than 25 years of experience leading strategy, governance, and engagement initiatives in the regulatory and association sectors. Her career includes leadership roles in marketing, communications, public relations, and strategic planning, where she has helped organizations navigate complex changes and deliver meaningful impact. Veronica is a Certified Association Executive (CAE) known for her ability to foster collaboration, guide mission-driven leadership, and transform strategic challenges into opportunities. She is widely respected for her facilitation skills and her deep commitment to helping boards and executive teams operate with clarity, alignment, and purpose.

About

Outside of work, Veronica enjoys spending time with her four children and four grandchildren. She also loves making and decorating elaborate cakes—a creative outlet that blends her eye for detail with a little bit of fun and frosting.
