Role
As CEO for CLARB, Matt is an ex-officio member of the Board of Directors and also a member of the CLARB staff team with whom he collaborates in the execution of our strategic initiatives and annual scope of work as approved and funded by the Board of Directors.
Experience
Over the last 20 years, Matt has served in various leadership roles in nonprofit associations including, Executive Director & CEO at the American Welding Society (AWS), COO for NACE International, and the Director of the SAE Foundation and Pre-Professional Programs at SAE International. Being CEO of CLARB is his favorite, by far. He has earned a Bachelor of Science in Education, a Master of Science in Instructional Technology, and a Master of Science in Nonprofit Management. He currently serves as chair on the Board of Directors of the Council of Engineering and Scientific Society Executives (CESSE). He is also a proud veteran of the U.S. Army.
About
Matt enjoys getting his splat points at Orange Theory Fitness (OTF) and rooting for any sports team that wears black and gold.
