Named after a kīpuka — a remnant island of life spared by lava — our work at Studio Kipuka centers on creating green spaces that act as ecological and cultural nodes in a sea of built environments.
A kīpuka can also mean a break in the clouds, a coral head in deep water, or a pause from the majority — a space of resilience, clarity and reconnection. We strive to design these moments of renewal across all scales, weaving together the past and future to support thriving communities and landscapes.
