About

The International Federation of Landscape Architects (IFLA) is the global voice of landscape architecture, representing 80 national associations across Africa, the Americas, Europe, the Asia-Pacific region and the Middle East. IFLA fosters collaboration across the built environment, advocates for the profession and promotes sustainable and resilient design solutions that protect people, places and the environment.

Mission

IFLA is dedicated to advancing the profession of landscape architecture through global collaboration, advocacy and education. The organization upholds the highest standards in education, training, research and professional practice, while providing leadership on key issues shaping the profession worldwide.

Areas of Collaboration

CLARB is proud to be a corporate member of IFLA, working together to advance international access, mobility, and professional recognition for landscape architects. Through this collaboration, CLARB and IFLA conducted a Global Job Task Analysis, providing critical insights into professional practice and regulation worldwide.

CLARB is also exploring international equivalency models and working with IFLA to develop a framework for mutual recognition of qualifications. These efforts help create consistent licensure standards across jurisdictions, making it easier for landscape architects to practice globally while maintaining high professional standards to protect the public and the environment.
