About
The Federation of Associations of Regulatory Boards (FARB) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing excellence in regulation. FARB provides education, resources and advocacy to support regulatory boards and associations in their mission to protect the public through effective licensure and oversight.
Founded in 1974, FARB serves as a collaborative forum for regulatory organizations across various professions, offering insights into best practices, legal and legislative developments, and emerging trends in regulation. Through conferences, training programs and networking opportunities, FARB helps regulatory boards navigate the evolving landscape of professional licensure and consumer protection.
Mission
FARB is committed to promoting best practices in professional regulation by fostering collaboration among regulatory organizations and providing guidance on legal, legislative and administrative issues that impact licensure. The organization serves as a valuable resource for regulatory boards, helping them uphold standards that ensure public health, safety and welfare.
By working alongside regulatory boards and professional associations, FARB strengthens the regulatory community and ensures that licensure systems remain transparent, consistent and effective in serving the public interest.
Areas of Collaboration
CLARB is a governing member of FARB and through this partnership, we collaborate with regulatory leaders across multiple professions to share best practices, strengthen licensure frameworks and address emerging challenges in professional regulation. As part of this commitment, CLARB Chief Strategy Officer Veronica Meadows serves as vice president of the FARB board of directors, ensuring that the unique perspectives and needs of landscape architecture licensure are represented. CLARB’s involvement in FARB helps to shape effective, defensible and modern regulatory policies that support licensing boards in their mission to protect the public while ensuring fair and consistent pathways to professional practice.
