CLARB is proud to announce that U.S. veterans can now use their GI Bill benefits to reimburse costs associated with taking the Landscape Architect Registration Examination (L.A.R.E.).
The Council of Landscape Architectural Registration
Boards (CLARB) has been approved as an institution by the Department of Veterans Affairs, allowing eligible veterans to seek reimbursement for examination fees.
"As a veteran who personally benefited from the GI Bill, I'm thrilled
that CLARB can now offer this opportunity to those who have served our country," said Matt Miller, CLARB CEO. "This approval represents our commitment to supporting veterans as they transition to civilian careers in landscape architecture."
This initiative aligns with CLARB's broader mission to remove barriers to licensure and expand access to the profession for qualified individuals from all backgrounds.
Veterans interested in using GI Bill benefits must first
register and pay for the exam, then submit required documentation to the VA for reimbursement. The VA may reimburse up to $2,000 for approved tests, including those not passed or retaken.
Here are some helpful links and tips for veterans:
- For reimbursement, veterans must complete VA Form 22-0803, "Application for Reimbursement of Licensing or Certification Test Fees," and attach test results
and payment receipts.
- Find additional information about test fee reimbursement.
- CLARB’s Support Team can assist you with accessing payment receipts, results, etc.
